Wells Fargo seeks to recover $8K from line of credit

Seeking to recover more than $8,000 from a line of credit, Wells Fargo Bank has filed suit against Beaumont local Nelson Barnes.

The suit was filed Jan. 13 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, Wells Fargo executed a $7,400 line of credit with Barnes, which he accessed on Oct. 24, 2004.

However, Barnes is now refusing to make payments on the credit account.

In its suit, Wells Fargo maintains it is entitled to $8,111.02.

The company is suing for actual damages and attorney's fees.

Dallas attorney Mark Rechner of Vincent Lopez Serafino Jenevein represents it.

Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, is assigned to the case.
