Lone stockholder seeks property owned by business

The sole stockholder of a Texas corporation has filed suit against the company, saying it is entitled to the piece of property owned by the business.

Pao H. Cheng claims he is the only stockholder of defendant Southland Overseas Investment. As such, he says he is entitled to the sole piece of property Southland owns.

The property is located in Block 131 of Port Arthur, according to the complaint filed March 7 in Jefferson County District Court.

Cheng is asking the court to appoint a realtor to sell the property. In the alternative, Cheng is asking the court to supervise the liquidation of Southland.

He also seeks attorney's fees, post-judgment interest, costs and other relief the court deems just.

Robert B. Dunham of Dunham and Hallmark in Beaumont will be representing him.

The case has been assigned to Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court.

Case No. E192-138
