PrimeWay Federal Credit Union has filed suit against Beaumont resident Kathy Konter, seeking to recover more than $13,000 on a delinquent auto loan.
The suit was filed March 27 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on Jan. 24, 2009, Konter executed a promissory note and security agreement in the amount of $21,938.85 for a 2009 Dodge Journey.
However, Konter has failed to make the payments required under the note.
As of March 20, she owes $13,796.60, the suit states.
"The note is in default, however ... PrimeWay was unable to exercise its right to recover possession of the vehicle prior to filing this lawsuit," the suit states.
PrimeWay is suing for actual damages and a judgment for possession.
Woodlands attorney Josh Harrison of Goodwin & Harrison represents the company.
Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, is assigned to the case.
