Passengers sue driver for causing collision

Two passengers have filed suit against the driver for allegedly causing an automobile collision two years ago.

Area residents Willis and Crystal Simien filed suit against Virginia Armstead on May 14 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on May 14, 2010, the Simiens were passengers in a vehicle being driven by Armstead when Armstead somehow negligently caused the collision.

The suit fails to state how or where the incident occurred.

However, the suit does allege Armstead negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and control her rate of speed.

The plaintiffs are suing for their alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Houston attorney Nick Marmam represents them.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
