Former partner sues over interest in Harbor Hospice

Malley

A former partner in Harbor Hospice Beaumont has filed suit against the company, claiming she wrongly lost her interest in the company.

Sandeep Patel alleges she was a partner with defendants Harbor Hospice Managers and Qamar Arfeen. However, at some point, Arfeen took Patel's limited partnership ownership of the business without permission, according to the complaint filed June 15 in Jefferson County District Court. In turn, Patel no longer has an ownership stake in Harbor Hospice, the suit states.

"Defendants breached their fiduciary duties to Plaintiff and further are liable for conversion and fraud," the complaint says.

In her complaint, Patel seeks an unspecified judgment, plus pre- and post-judgment interest at the legal rate, costs and other relief the court deems just.

Anthony Malley III of Moore Landrey in Beaumont will be representing her.

The case has been assigned to Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court.
