An electrical company claims it incurred more than $100,000 in costs after a business failed to accept alterations to a contract.

Alexander Electric filed a lawsuit July 27 in Jefferson County District Court against Allco.

In its complaint, Alexander Electric claims it entered into a subcontract with Allco on June 4, 2008.

At some point, Alexander Electric submitted change orders with an intent to alter the original scope of the work under the subcontract, according to the complaint.

"Defendant's breach of contract has resulted in damages to plaintiff in the amount of $116,742," the suit states.

In its complaint, Alexander seeks an unspecified judgment, plus attorney's fees, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs and other relief the court deems just.

Clayton E. Dark Jr. of the Law Office of Clayton E. Dark Jr. in Lufkin will be representing it.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
