Seeking more than $29,000, Community Bank has filed suit against Beaumont resident Brian LeBlanc, alleging he defaulted on two notes.
The suit was filed Aug. 27 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on Feb. 10 and Feb. 9, 2011, LeBlanc entered into loan agreements with Community Bank.
However, LeBlanc has allegedly defaulted by failing to make his payments, the suit states.
The principal balance due on the note No. 1 is $3,793.70, plus accrued unpaid interest of $624.68, late fees of $80 and legal fees due of $201.84 – bringing the total amount owed to $4,700.22.
The total amount owing on note No. 2 is $25,292.40, the suit states.
Community Bank is seeking a judgment in the amount of $29,992.62 – the total amount due on the accounts.
The bank is also seeking to recover courts costs and attorney’s fees.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, is assigned to the case.
