Litigation brought by Felisha Davis, who claims she slipped on some wet paint at Kohl’s Department Store and broke her arm, has been slated for trial in April.

As previously reported, Davis filed a petition to perpetuate testimony on Feb. 9, 2012, in Jefferson County District Court.

Court records show that on Aug. 3 a discovery control plan order was entered in the case, calling for the litigation to be mediated on or before March 18 or face a trial sometime in April.

The petition claims that on July 13, 2010, Davis was injured at Kohl’s No. 200 when she slipped and fell on what is believed to be wet paint, which resulted in a broken arm.

Davis seeks to recover from Kohl’s damages for her alleged injuries, mental anguish and medical expenses.

She is represented by attorney John Werner of the Beaumont law firm Reaud, Morgan & Quinn.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.

Case No. A191-894
