Medical center setx

Orange County resident Crystal Haynes has filed suit against the Medical Center of Southeast Texas and Dr. Roy Marrero Jr., alleging it was the defendants fault she suffered a stroke while in their care more than two years ago.

The suit was filed April 26 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Feb. 18, 2011, Haynes was under the care of the medical defendants. During her treatment, she suffered a stroke.

No more details are given, but the suit does, however, allege the defendants negligently failed to properly diagnose the plaintiff and follow proper stroke protocol.

The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain and impairment.

Attorney Hart Green of the Beaumont law firm Weller, Green, Toups & Terrell represents the plaintiff.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, is assigned to the case.
