SHERMAN - A Collin County man has filed a lawsuit against his employer claiming he was fired due to his Bermudian national origin.

Dean Jones filed suit against Infosys Technologies Ltd. on April 29 in the Eastern District of Texas, Sherman Division.

Jones is a Bermudian national of African descent who began his employment with the defendant on October 2011 as an engagement manager. He was terminated from his position in January 2013.

Jones filed a charge of discrimination with the Texas Workforce Commission Civil Rights Division citing race discrimination and harassment based upon his national origin. The plaintiff is seeking an award of actual damages, interest, attorney’s fees, punitive damages and court costs.

Jones is represented by Dallas attorney Kevin S. Wiley Jr.

A jury trial is requested.
