One new lawsuit against an insurance company over Hurricane Ike damage claims was filed in Jefferson County District Court, June 17-21, 2013.

The following complaint was filed:

• Roderick Poullard and Jacqueline Poullard of 574 Georgetown St. in Beaumont allege their insurance company, defendant State Farm Lloyds, and their adjusters, defendants State Farm Centralized Catastrophe Services and Richard Linders, misrepresented that $2,910.54 would cover the structural damages to the Poullards’ home following Hurricane Ike, which struck on Sept. 13, 2008. However, the defendants did not adequately compensate the Poullards for the damages caused to their home, the suit states.
