Recent lawsuits filed against insurance companies over hurricane damage

A total of three new lawsuits against the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association over damage claims from Hurricane Ike were filed in Jefferson County District Court, June 24-28, 2013. 

The following complaints were filed:

• Mary Barranco of 3015 Timberwood Lane in Beaumont alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association mishandled her claim for damages caused to her property following Hurricane Ike. Bill Voss, Scott G. Hunziker and David S. Mayronne of The Voss Law Firm in The Woodlands will be representing her. The case has been assigned to Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court. Jefferson County District Court case number: A194-481.

• Antionette Bradley of 9495 Piney Point in Beaumont alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association improperly adjusted and mishandled her claim for damages caused to her property following Hurricane Ike. Bill L. voss and Scott G. Hunziker of The Voss Law Firm in The Woodlands will be representing her. The case has been assigned to Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court. Jefferson County District Court case number: B194-478.

• Sherry Guidry of 6355 Raton Circle in Beaumont alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association improperly adjusted and mishandled her claim for damages caused to her property following Hurricane Ike. Bill L. Voss and Scott G. Hunziker of The Voss Law Firm in The Woodlands will be representing her. The case has been assigned to Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court. Jefferson County District Court case number: D194-479.
