A man is suing an automobile rental company after he is involved in a rear-end accident.
Elroy Nichols filed a lawsuit Oct. 30 in the District Court of Jefferson County 136th Judicial District against Philpott Motors Ltd, doing business as E.Z. Automobile Rental.
According to the complaint on Feb. 1, Nichols was stopped at a traffic light at U.S. 69 and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Beaumont, when an individual driving a vehicle owned by the defendant slammed into the rear of his vehicle, resulting in injuries and damages.
Nichols is seeking damages more than $100,000, but less than $500,000.
He is being represented in the case by attorney Tom Oxford of Walkman Smallwood PC.
