Mid County Home Remodeling named in petition to conduct deposition

Texas Farmers Insurance Co. filed a petition seeking to depose a remodeling company after a fire damaged a Port Arthur home.

Texas Farmers, as subrogee of Terry Mingle, filed a petition to conduct a deposition of Mike Louvier, doing business as Mid County Home Remodeling, on Dec. 16 in the District Court of Jefferson County. 

According to the petition, Texas Farmers seeks to question the defendant regarding remodeling work performed at Mingle's residence in connection with a fire, which occurred on Nov. 19.

Texas Farmers seeks to determine if they have a claim against the defendant by deposing him regarding the scope of work performed at the Mingle's residence, any and all paperwork regarding the remodeling work and the identity of all subcontractors.

Texas Farmers Insurance Co. is being represented by attorneys William T. Sebesta and Randall J. Poelma Jr. of Doyen Sebesta Ltd. LLP.


The case has been assigned to Jefferson County Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court.
