City of Beaumont sued over scheduled demolition of home on Pecos Street

A Jefferson County man is suing the city of Beaumont over a home he purchased in order to save it from demolition.


Gary Robbins filed a lawsuit April 28 in the Jefferson County District Court, seeking a temporary restraining order and temporary and permanent injunction against the city of Beaumont. 

According to the complaint, Gary Robbins purchased a home at 2180 Pecos St. in Beaumont to save it from a scheduled demolition after it was declared a dilapidated structure by the city.

Robbins is seeking a restraining order to prevent the city from demolishing the home.

He is being represented in the case by Beaumont attorney Jeffrey T. Roebuck.
