Two Corpus Christi men are suing over claims an off-duty police officer viciously attacked them.

Brandon Berry and Colton Hadaway filed a lawsuit April 30 in the Galveston County District Court against RPoint5 Ventures LLC also known as Tsumani Exotic Tequila Emporium, Yagas Entertainment Inc., 2314 Strand Property Partners, Miles Stedman Dumas, Corbin John Johnson and Michael Brady, citing negligence.

Berry and Hadaway claim they were patrons of defendant Tsunami in Galveston County, when off-duty officer Dumas exposed his genitals to a group of men and women inside the bar.

Berry and Hadaway say they reported the incident and the fact that Dumas had a firearm, causing Dumas to be kicked out of the bar. The suit alleges after Berry and Hadaway left the building Dumas, Johnson and Brady viciously attacked them, causing severe and disabling injuries to the plaintiffs.

Berry and Hadaway are seeking damages, interest, court costs and any other relief they are entitled to.

They are being represented in the case by Beaumont attorneys Zona Jones of Provost Umphrey Law Firm LLP and Gary E. Ramirez of Gonzales Hoblit & Ferguson in Corpus Christi.
