A company is suing over claims a subcontractor failed to follow the schedule and terms of a contract.

Triad Retail Construction Inc. filed a lawsuit May 5 in the Galveston County Court against Resort Installation Systems Inc., citing breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Triad is the general contractor on two projects for which RIS was subcontracted to supply handrail materials. Triad says RIS has failed to perform according to the contract, causing a delay on the projects and increasing the costs.

Triad is seeking damages in an amount to be determined by the court. It is being represented in the case by attorney Kevin M. Murphy.
