Lawsuit results after two minors are injured in a crash in Port Arthur

The mother of two children is suing after the minors were injured in a vehicle collision. 

Lakeytha Jackson, individually and as next of friend of Jaqiera Alpough and Kierra Martin, minors, filed suit May 20 in the Jefferson County District Court against Karly Monae Aclese. 

According to the complaint, both minors were riding in a vehicle on July 13 when it collided with a vehicle driven by Aclese at the intersection of Turtle Creek Drive and Anchor Drive in Port Arthur.

Both minors suffered injuries as a result of the accident, which was caused by the defendant's negligence, according to the suit.

Jackson is seeking damages within the jurisdictional limits of the court.

She is being represented by attorney John A. Carwile.
