A father is suing the owners of an apartment complex after his son was allegedly injured on their property.
Daniel Campusano Sr., individually and as next-of-friend of Daniel Campusano-Fuentes, a minor child, filed a lawsuit June 4 in the Jefferson County District Court against A & A Housing Group L.L.C., doing business as Amber Park Apartments, citing negligence.
The lawsuit states the Campusano-Fuentes family rented an apartment at 5305 Gulfway Drive, Groves, known as Amber Park Apartments, from the housing company.
According to the suit, the child was playing on the premises on June 12, 2012, when he fell on an exposed, unmarked jagged steel post left in a cement footer and protruding from the ground, the complaint states. The boy sustained severe cuts and injuries, according to the complaint.
Campusano is seeking damages that cover past, present and future impairment, mental anguish, physical pain, medical expenses, physical disfigurement, pre and post-judgment interest and court costs, all totaling in excess of the minimal jurisdictional limits, plus any other relief of the court.
Campusano is represented by Cynthia Frederick of the Frederick Law Firm P.L.L.C. in Houston.
