Several Texas residents are suing their employer over claims they weren't paid for hours worked.
John Duhon, Dylan Skibo and John Singletary filed a lawsuit June 6 in the Jefferson County District Court against Orleans Street Pub and Patio and Christine Lowry, citing the Texas Minimum Wage Act.
The plaintiffs allege they did work for the defendant as bartenders and bar backs and Lowry would require them to work, but refused to compensate them.
The suit alleges they were allowed to keep any tips paid by customers, but received no hourly wage.
According to the brief, the plaintiffs didn't receive earnings statements at the end of each pay period, in violation of the Texas Labor Code.
The plaintiffs are seeking all unpaid wages, damages, interest and court costs.
They are being represented in the case by Houston attorney Kelly E. Cook of Wyly & Cook LLP.
