Galveston County driver sued after collision at intersection of county roads

Stop sign 1

Two Brazoria County residents are suing over claims they were seriously injured in a collision.

Arthur and Aurelia Christopherson filed a lawsuit June 13 in the Galveston County District Court against Jeffrey Alan McGinley, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, the Christophersons were in a vehicle stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of County Road 163 and County Road 166 on June 16, 2012, when McGinley failed to yield the right of way and caused his vehicle to collide with the plaintiffs' vehicle.

The complaint says both plaintiffs sustained injuries and were transported to Clear Lake Medical Center.

The Christophersons are seeking more than $200,000 in damages.

They are being represented in the case by attorney Eric J. Kirkpatrick of Kirkpatrick Law Office P.C. in Houston.
