An alleged injury at a Texas worksite has prompted a lawsuit.

Robert Lynn Brooks Sr. filed suit June 25 in Galveston County District Court against Praxair Inc., Praxair Deer Park Cogen Inc. and Burns & McDonnell.

According to the complaint, Brooks was working as a crane operator when he was asked by employees of the defendants to assist in guiding a 10,000-pound pipe. While moving the pipe, the plaintiff alleges the defendants rushed him, which caused Brooks to suffer an unspecified injury, the suit claims.

The defendants are accused of failing to properly inspect the premises, failing to remedy the dangerous condition, creating a dangerous condition, failing to warn of looming danger and failing to barricade a hazardous area.

Brooks is seeking damages in excess of $101,000.

He is represented by Angleton attorney Robert T. Rice of Rice & Sanes LLP.
