Mortgage company seeks foreclosure on home equity loan

CitiMortgage has asked a Jefferson County District Court judge to allow the foreclosure of a home equity loan.


CitiMortgage filed an application for an expedited order permitting the foreclosure of a home equity loan July 10 in the Jefferson County District Court against Kip and Linda Carson. 


CitiMortgage claims the owners of a home at 3250 Ash Ave. in Groves have failed to make 15 monthly payments. The amount required to cure the default is $12,713.87, the suit states. The total amount to pay off the loan agreement, contract or lien is $17,896.46.


CitiMortgage seeks an expedited order so it can proceed with the foreclosure.
