A Galveston County man is suing former business partners he alleges failed to follow through with multiple agreements. 

Clint McGuire filed a lawsuit against Sean Porter, Thomas Porter, Deborah Porter and Porter Bucking Bulls on Aug. 12 in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas. 

McGuire alleges he entered into business agreements with defendants to co-lease a pasture to run cattle, purchase hay equipment and share profits of cut hay. He says he and the defendants also agreed to co-own bulls and split proceeds from semen sales. McGuire contends the Porters have breached their business agreements with him, costing him more than $130,000. 

In November 2013, McGuire says he entered into a settlement agreement with the defendants in which they agreed to make certain payments and return certain property to him. He says they also agreed to pay $100,000 if they breached the terms of the settlement. McGuire says he warned the Porters he would be forced to file a lawsuit if they did not pay him as promised. He says the defendants have failed to follow the terms of the settlement agreement. 

McGuire accuses the Porters of breach of contract, breach of warranty, conversion and fraud. He contends they also violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. He is seeking an unspecified amount in actual, treble and exemplary damages.
