A Houston car dealer is being sued after one of its employees allegedly rear-ended another car while taking a customer's car to get serviced.
Al N. Petit filed a lawsuit Aug. 8 in Galveston County District Court against William Cepica, David McClure and Westlex Corp., doing business as Northside Lexus.
According to the complaint, Petit was traveling east on Kingwood Drive in Kingwood and stopped at a red light at the intersection of Lake Kingwood Trail. At the same time, Petit alleges Cepica was driving a car owned by McClure east on Kingwood Drive on his way to the Northside Lexus shop in Houston.
Cepica, an employee of Northside Lexus, allegedly failed to notice Petit stopped at the light and crashed into the back of his car.
Petit accuses Cepica, McClure and Northside Lexus of negligence. He seeks more than $100,000 in damages medical expenses, loss of income and court fees.
Attorney Andrew E. Lemanski, of Houston, represents Petit.
