A Beaumont company and its owner are accused of breach of contract for allegedly defaulting on a loan.

RREF CB SBL-TX filed a lawsuit against Kirbow Transportation Enterprises and Joseph Bryan Kirbow on Aug. 21 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the complaint, Kirbow Transportation Enterprises executed a promissory note Dec. 29, 2004, payable to the order of Texas State Bank in the amount of $221,000.

The note was renewed in the amount of $199,212 in May 2008. RREF CB SBL-TX says it acquired the note and currently owns the account.
