A La Porte man is suing following a jet ski accident with a man from League City.
Gilbert Bayer filed a complaint Sept. 10 in Galveston County District Court against Anthony Loya, citing negligence.
The complaint states that on Aug. 17, 2014, Bayer and Loya were both operating jet skis in Galveston County when Loya failed to control his jet ski and ran over Bayer and his jet ski. As a result of the accident, Bayer suffered injuries to his back, neck and his body in general, for which he has incurred medical expenses and has experienced physical pain and suffering, physical impairment, loss of earnings and earning capacity, disfigurement and mental anguish.
Bayer seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, plus court costs. He is represented by Jeffrey T. Roebuck of Roebuck, Thomas, Roebuck & Adams in Beaumont.
