Santa Fe man blames Dolgencorp for accident outside Dollar General store

GALVESTON -- A Santa Fe man is suing Dolgencorp of Texas, alleging negligence for an accident he suffered outside a Dollar General store in Dickinson.

Luke Vernagallo of Santa Fe, Texas, filed a lawsuit Sept. 16 in Galveston County District Court against Dolgencorp of Texas, Inc., alleging negligence.

On March 24, 2014, the complaint states, Vernagallo was exiting the premises of the Dollar General store in Dickinson when he tripped on uneven concrete and fell, sustaining injuries. 

The suit says the defendant was negligent in failing to properly maintain the property in a reasonable and safe manner, and other negligent acts or omissions. As a result, the lawsuit states, the plaintiff has experienced serious personal injuries, mental anguish, physical pain and suffering, medical expenses, plus impairment and disability.

Vernagallo seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, plus court costs.
