HOUSTON — A Harris County man is suing a major airline and one of its subsidiaries over an alleged wrongful termination.

Chris Arbor filed the suit on Sept. 29 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Chelsea Food Services and United Airlines.

The plaintiff worked for the defendant Chelsea Food Services for nearly 20 years. He says the defendant terminated him after an incident with a company vehicle. While the plaintiff admits he left the keys inside the vehicle while he loaded the rear of the vehicle, he says they were not in the ignition.

He says a co-worker actually entered the vehicle, started the ignition and began driving away. The suit alleges that no safety investigation was conducted, but that four days later the plaintiff was terminated. The co-worker who drove away in the vehicle was not terminated, the suit alleges.

The plaintiff alleges race, color and age discrimination against the defendants. He seeks actual and exemplary damages, back pay, interest, front pay, pre-judgment interest, attorney's fees, and court costs. Counsel for the plaintiff is Lynne M. Jurek of The Jurek Law Group in Houston.
