JEFFERSON – A former saleswoman is suing a used car dealership in Longview, alleging she was constantly sexually harassed while employed there.

Isabel Hudson filed a lawsuit on Dec. 12 against Excel Chevrolet L.L.C. in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas, alleging sexual harassment and a violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Hudson, who began working at Excel Chevrolet as a used car salesperson in March 2013, alleged in the suit that another salesperson started a pattern of degrading and humiliating sexual harassment just two weeks after she delivered twins. The behavior allegedly included taking pictures of her backside when she was unaware and sending her a picture of his penis.

She allegedly reported the salesperson’s conduct to a general manager and two finance manage on numerous occasions, but nothing happened. The behavior stopped when the salesperson left Excel for another job.

Shortly after the salesperson left, Hudson said she began having issues with the general manager processing her sales. She alleged in the suit that the issues were in retaliation for her complaints about the salesperson. She resigned in January 2014.

Hudson is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, plus attorney's fees and litigation costs. She is represented by N. Eric Cooper and T. Heath Chammness of the Cooper Law Firm in Longview.
