Employees allege tire business failed to pay overtime

HOUSTON — Three employees are suing a tire business, alleging unpaid wages and violation of worker compensation laws.

Jaramy Abrego, Randal Barber and Jeffrey Lewis filed a lawsuit, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, April 5 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against USA Wheel and Tire Outlet Inc,. alleging failure to pay overtime wages.

According to the complaint, between October 2012 and Jan. 22, 2015, Abrego, Barber and Lewis worked regularly more than 40 hours per week but did not receive any overtime wages. The plaintiffs allege the defendant failed to pay overtime wages for all hours worked more than 40 hours per week at a rate of one and half the regular rates of pay.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury, restraining and enjoining the defendant from engaging in such violations, all damages for all unpaid wages, including benefits and bonuses, unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, interest at the highest rate permitted by law, legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorney Taft L. Foley II of The Foley Law Firm in Houston.
