Layne Christensen Co. accused of breach of contract

HOUSTON – A suit has been filed against a The Woodlands business over allegations it owes money for not returning a container on time.

US Lines LLC filed a complaint on May 17 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Layne Christensen Co. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, between April 9, 2014, and June 9, 2015, it suffered damages to its business as a result of unpaid debt. The plaintiff holds Layne Christensen Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to return the equipment on time, which resulted in a damage charges which it failed to pay despite of multiple attempts from plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks all damages plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Robert C. Oliver and R. M. Sharpe Jr. of Sharpe & Oliver LLP in Houston.
