GALVESTON — An employee is suing a Pearland heat and air conditioning business, alleging refusal to pay overtime wages.

David Sandling of Brazoria County filed a lawsuit May 27 in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Kenneth Kneeland and Kneeland A/C & Heat Inc., alleging violation of applicable minimum wage laws and violation of workers compensation acts in failing to fairly compensate an employee.

Sandling seeks a trial by jury, damages plus interest, $12,000 for unpaid regular wages, $16,875 for unpaid overtime wages, $28,875 for statutory damage, $12,000 for actual damages, $200,000 for exemplary damages, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just.
