HOUSTON — A Texas woman is suing a Houston business, alleging failure to pay overtime wages.

Tina Jarvis filed a class action lawsuit, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, July 29 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against AES Drilling Fluids LLC, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, Jarvis routinely worked as an administrative assistant and dispatcher for more than 40 hours per week without receiving overtime compensation. The plaintiff alleges AES Drilling failed to pay her overtime wages for hours worked in excess of 40 in a single week at the time and half rate required by the FLSA.

Jarvis seeks a trial by jury, unpaid back wages, an equal amount of liquidated damages, legal costs, attorney fees, pre- and post-judgment interest and all relief as is necessary. She is represented by attorneys Michael A. Josephson, Andrew W. Dunlap, Lindsay R. Itkin and Jessica M. Bresler of Fibich, Leebron, Copeland, Briggs & Josephson in Houston and by Richard J. (Rex) Burch of Bruckner Burch PLLC in Houston.
