Law money 12

HOUSTON — A Harris County chiropractor is suing his former employers, alleging they illegally withheld his salary.

Ashgar Mortaji filed a lawsuit Sept. 17 in Harris County District Court against Medical Advanced Systems Inc. and Robert O'Neal DC, alleging failure to to comply with their contractual agreement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in January 2015, he began working for defendants pursuant to an agreement that he would be paid $400 per day. After a couple of months, the suit says, Mortaji stopped receiving the agreed-upon salary, causing him to suffer economic injuries.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants have failed to pay his salaries for days worked.

Mortaji seeks trial by jury, monetary relief up to $100,000, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees, court costs and all other relief to which he is justly entitled. He is represented by attorney Joshua Estes of The Estes Law Firm PC in Richmond.
