Law money 04

GALVESTON — A Galveston diving contractor is suing an Orange shipyard operator, alleging breach of contract and owing more than $38,000.

T&T Subsea LLC filed a lawsuit Oct. 20 in Galveston County District Court against Westport Orange Shipyard LLC, alleging failure to perform its contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, Westport Orange Shipyard contracted T&T Subsea to perform an underwater inspection of a sunken dry dock and de-water and refloat the dry dock at the defendant’s facility in Orange.

The suit says the plaintiff fully performed its obligations but was not fully paid an amount of $38,265.45. The plaintiff alleges Westport Orange Shipyard has failed to pay in full the invoices for goods and services provided.

T&T Subsea seeks trial by jury, judgment for 38,265.45 plus interest, attorney fees, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of suit and all other relief the court deems appropriate. It is represented by attorneys Susan Noe Wilson and Thomas O. Deen of Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea & BenMaier PLLC in Houston.
