HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing Houston store operators, alleging their negligence resulted in injuries to the plaintiff.
Megan Patek filed a lawsuit Nov. 16 in Harris County District Court against
Rolling Dough Ltd. and Rolling Dough Enterprises LLC,
alleging failure to properly maintain their premises in a reasonably safe condition.
According to the complaint, on Jan 31, 2015, Patek was within the defendants' property at 7049 state Highway 6, Houston, when she slipped and fell in the women's restroom. As a result, the suit says, Patek sustained injuries to her back and legs that caused pain and mental anguish, loss of earning capacity and medical expenses.
The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to place a proper warning or caution sign and failed to follow proper safety procedures.
Patek seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, pre- and post-judgment interest, and all other just relief. She is represented by attorney Adam J. Rosenfield of Schecter McElwee Shaffer & Harris LLP in Houston.
