Milton Johnson of Webster filed a complaint Dec. 21 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against
K&S Restaurants Inc., Sonic Corp and Sonic Industries LLC,
alleging that they violated the Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the Texas Labor Code.
According to the complaint, as a result of the defendants' actions, Johnson who worked at the defendant's Sonic Drive-In restaurant in Webster, suffered loss of wages, emotional pain, mental anguish, inconvenience and loss of enjoyment of life.
The plaintiff alleges the defendants intentionally retaliated against him by maintaining a hostile work environment and sex discrimination and subjected him to adverse employment actions after he reported, opposed and participated in an investigation of sexual harassment.
Johnson seeks trial by jury, all damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees and costs and all other equitable relief. He is representing himself in the case.
