HOUSTON — A guardian of a minor child is suing amusement center operators, alleging its negligence caused injuries to the child.

Raven Bean of Harris County , individually and as next friend of a minor child, filed a complaint Feb. 10 in Harris County Circuit Court against Famusement Pros LLC,  alleging they failed to provide a safe place to play.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 20, 2016, the minor was at Planet Wow in Houston, playing on an inflatable slide of which part of the slide was deflated. As she was coming down the slide, the suit says, her arm became caught on the slide, resulting in injuries, pain, disability and medical expenses.

The plaintiffs allege Famusement Pros failed to inspect the area of the facility to ensure its safety to patrons/invitees, failed to adequately and timely remove or remedy the dangerous conditions of the slide and failed to supervise and train its employees with regard to proper inspection of the facility.

The plaintiffs seek trial by jury, monetary relief between  $200,000 and $1 million, costs of court, pre- and post-judgment interest and all other equitable relief. They are represented by attorney Jeffrey M. Stern of Stern Law Group in Bellaire.
