HOUSTON — Two employees are suing Scorpio drilling services, alleging breach of employment agreements.

James C. Larsen of Houston and John M. Kummrow of Melbourne, Australia, filed a complaint Feb. 14 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Scorpio Ernesto Drilling Company, Ltd., Scorpio Drilling Pte Ltd., Scorpio Drilling International PTE Ltd., and Global Tender Barges Drilling Services SDN BHD, alleging failure to perform their obligations under the terms of their employment agreements.

According to the complaint, Larsen and Kummrow have suffered monetary damages of nearly $500,000 for not being paid for services they provided to refurbish and retrofit the defendants' Scorpio 300 drilling barge. The plaintiffs allege despite demands for payment, the defendants have failed to pay Larsen and Kummrow for the services and benefits they provided. The suit says the defendants have been unjustly enriched.

Larsen and Kummrow seek trial by jury, judgment for the amount of their claims, with interest, attorney fees, costs of court and all other relief the court deems proper. They are represented by attorneys Timothy W. Strickland and Stacey T. Norstrud of Fowler Rodriguez in Houston.
