HOUSTON — A Harris County man with Crohn's disease is suing a college system, alleging disability discrimination and wrongful termination.

Nicholas Chrysanthou filed a complaint May 2 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Lone Star College System alleging violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

According to the complaint, Chrysanthou has suffered and will continue to suffer loss of income and benefits, emotional pain and suffering, inconvenience and loss of enjoyment of life after being terminated Feb. 23, 2016. 

The plaintiff Lone Star terminated his employment without providing workplace accommodations for his disability.The suit says Chrysanthou had been working for the college system since 2012.

Chrysanthou seeks trial by jury, compensatory, punitive and economic damages, reinstatement or front pay, plus interest, attorney fees, court costs and all other equitable relief. He is represented by attorney Nasim Ahmad of Ahmad & Capodice PLLC in The Woodlands.
