HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a Humble storage facility, alleging negligence and conversion.

Shawdaisha Williams filed a complaint May 4 in Harris County District Court against SH 760-770 LLC, Life Storage LP and Life Storage Solutions LLC, alleging violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 28, 2016, and Nov. 1, 2016, Williams leased two self-service storage units with the defendants on Atascocita Road in Humble. In March 2017, the suit says, the defendants published a notice and sold Williams' two units at a public auction.

Williams says she lost items valued at more than $200,000.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed and refused to assists her in contacting the winning bidder and/or to assist her in the recovery of the sold items.

Williams seeks trial by jury, actual, punitive and treble damages, plus legal interest, attorney fees, court costs and all other just and proper relief. She is represented by attorney Murphy S. Klasing of Weycer, Kaplan, Pulaski & Zuber PC in Houston.
