Texas man sues motorist for injuries suffered in car accident

A Texas man is suing Tyrese Edwards, a Jefferson county resident, for alleged negligence.

BEAUMONT — A Texas man is suing Tyrese Edwards, a Jefferson county resident, for alleged negligence.

Benny Gibson filed a complaint on April 6 in the Jefferson County District Court, alleging that the defendant failed to properly control his vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was severely injured from being involved in a vehicular accident on May 20, 2015. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to keep a proper look out while turning left from the wrong lane.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an amount not to exceed $200,000, interest, court costs, exemplary damages, attorney's fees and other relief to which the plaintiff is entitled. He is represented by Jeff Musslewhite and Lori L. Brown of Brown & Musslewhite LLLP in Houston.
