Former Brand Energy Solutions employee alleges he was terminated because of injury

HOUSTON – A man alleges he was harassed and fired by his employer after he was injured on the job.

Praxedis Chapa filed a complaint on May 11 in the Harris County Circuit Court against Brand Energy Solutions LLC alleging that the defendant violated the Texas Labor Code.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was injured while working for the defendant on May 6, 2105, and later terminated on May 27, 2015.

The plaintiff holds Brand Energy Solutions Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly fabricated various pretextual grounds to provide reason for termination.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief in an amount of more than $1 million, pre-and post-judgment interest, costs of suit and all other relief to which plaintiff may be entitled.
