AUSTIN – Julie Pomerantz, an attorney with Mitchell Williams Selig Gates & Woodyard, has been accepted to the Federation of Regulatory Counsel.

FORC is a reputable national professional association of attorneys who specialize in insurance regulatory law. Pomerantz is based in the firm’s Austin office.

As a member of FORC, Pomerantz will be accessible to those seeking expertise in the areas of insurance business transactions, legislation, litigation and regulation, according to a May 17 press release.

To be selected to FORC, applicants must have a strong reputation, meet high member standards and be recommended by insurance executives from unrelated companies. After a detailed investigation and vetting process is completed, applicants are then referred to the FORC Board of Directors for additional consideration to ensure only esteemed counsel with the utmost skill and experience are accepted.

Pomerantz will be one of five FORC members within Mitchell Williams, including Burnie Burner and Betty DeLargy of the Austin office, and Doak Foster and Ark Monroe of the Little Rock office.

“We are thrilled to have Julie Pomerantz accepted to the Federation of Regulatory Counsel,” said Rick T. Beard, managing partner. “Our attorneys constantly strive to strengthen their skills and grow their knowledge base. We are proud to have Julie recognized and included by such an honorable organization.”
