Patient blames physician, medical facility for injuries

Medical malpractice 08

HOUSTON — A patient is suing a physician and a Cypress medical facility, alleging negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Hazel Jingles filed a complaint June 28 in Harris County District Court against Dr. Julius Debroeck and North Cypress Medical Center, alleging they failed to exercise the degree of care possessed by other members of the medical profession.

According to the complaint, on April 2, 2015, Jingles experienced swelling in her arm, pain and suffering and permanent scarring because the defendants failed to perform their duties in a proper, effective and safe manner in inserting an IV into the plaintiff's arm.

Jingles seeks trial by jury, judgment, jointly and severally, of more than $100,000, costs of court, interest and all other general and special relief. She is represented by attorney Crystal S. Wiley of Law Office of Crystal S. Wiley PLLC in Houston.
