Beaumont woman seeks damages after fall at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort

Slip01

BEAUMONT – A Beaumont woman alleges she was injured at a hotel because of an unmarked speed bump.

Jane Wauldean Lantrip filed a complaint on July 19 in the Jefferson County District Court against Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc., doing business as Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort alleging premises liability.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 28, 2015, she was a guest at Hilton Hawaiian Waikiki Beach Resort. While walking down the hallway, she alleges she slipped and fell on an unmarked speed bump.

The plaintiff holds Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to warn its guests of the existence of an unreasonably dangerous condition.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and all other relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Thomas J. "Tom" Landry of The Ferguson Law Firm LLP in Beaumont.
