HOUSTON – Metropolitan Transit Authority is seeking damages from Missouri City man accused of reckless driving.

Metropolitan Transit Authority filed a complaint on Aug. 2 in the Harris County District Court against Todd Wishneski alleging that the motor vehicle operator negligently failed to operate his vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 15, 2016, plaintiff suffered damages to its Metro bus when the defendant made an improper turn in Harris County and struck the bus, injuring the plaintiff's employees. The plaintiff states it became obligated for workers' compensation benefits and medical expenses to its injured employees.

The plaintiff holds Wishneski responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to yield right of way, failed to maintain careful lookout and carelessly made an improper lane change.

The plaintiff seeks actual damages within the jurisdictional limits of the court, pre- and post-judgment interest and such other just and equitable relief. It is represented by Dean G. Pappas of Dean G. Pappas Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
