GALVESTON – A Galveston County woman is seeking declaration regarding her rights under her insurance contract.
Melodie Stahl filed a complaint on Aug. 14 in the Galveston County District Court against GEICO County Mutual Insurance Co. seeking declaratory judgment.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 14, 2015, she was severely and permanently injured due to a motor vehicle collision in Texas City negligently caused by an underinsured motorist. She alleges that the defendant told her it would not provide benefits she requested under her policy for her injuries.
The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000, but less than $1 million and such other relief she may show herself justly entitled. She is represented by Joe M. Williams of The Law Office of Joe M. Williams & Associates PLLC in Houston.
