HOUSTON – A Houston woman alleges that she was injured when exiting an elevator in an underground parking garage.
Judith C. Ross filed a complaint on Aug. 28 in the Harris County District Court against the city of Houston, Republic Parking System Inc., Houston First Corp. and Downtown Management District alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 3, 2015, she was injured when she lost her balance and fell as she exited from the elevator shelter maintained by defendants because of a drop-off. She alleges she sustained serious injuries and has suffered physical pain, mental anguish, medical expenses and loss of income.
The plaintiff holds city of Houston, Republic Parking System Inc., Houston First Corp. and Downtown Management District responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently made the drop-off at the exit of the elevator shelter with the same color and pattern and failed to provide warning of the drop-off.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 and such other general and special relief. She is represented by Pearson Grimes III of Pearson Grimes III Attorney At Law in Houston.
